In times where costs are high, it is necessary to observe every detail in the production process, it is no different with the poultry farmer who, in order to maintain financial sustainability in the activity, has to observe every penny invested in the creation of poultry.

In addition to workforce and electricity, heating in the initial phase comprises the highest production costs.

The first week of placement of the chicks is extremely important, because birds easily exchange heat with the environment, which is why it is necessary to heat the aviary and this can be done using heated air and/or irradiation.

The way to heat birds in Brazil is basically air heating, but by far it is not the most efficient, even more so in the economic moment the world is facing, with sanctions and blockades between Europe and Russia and the lack of fuel to produce heating. This energy scarcity movement has generated a very high demand for Brazilian wood and heating costs for aviaries are increasing.

The main characteristic of the irradiation method is to send heat to surfaces that contain mass, in other words to transmit heat to the birds and to the floor (bedding), this transmission is very effective and with very little loss of energy, making this type of heating the more efficient.

To optimize his costs with irradiation as a heating source, the producer needs to pay attention to the temperature of the bed and change the irradiation sources periodically so as not to have overheating.

These are some of the reasons that make radiant heating one of the most used in the world.
